The aim of the Women’s Institute is “to unite in promoting any work which makes for the betterment of our homes and the development and improvement of rural and urban life through social and educational activities”
Formed in Donaghadee in June 1943, the members of Donaghadee WI have actively participated and contributed in numerous ways, both to the community of Donaghadee and further afield.
At our informal monthly meetings we have fun evenings and DIY evenings and speakers covering a range of interesting and current topics. We also enjoy outings to various places of interest and extended trips. Members contribute to and attend the Balmoral Show and local events. We also take part in W.I. activities and competitions, whether its writing, golfing, photography, music, crafts, increasing our skills and so much more – there is something for everyone
