Volunteering with us is a great way to meet new people, help make Donaghadee even better and learn new skills.
There are many ways in which you can get involved – see the list below. Take a read and see the ones which take your fancy.
If you’re interested in joining our volunteer team please click the button below and fill out the form. If you believe you have something specific to offer or have a new idea then make sure you tell us! There are new projects and collaborations happening all the time and we love hearing from people who want to be involved.
Once we get your form our volunteer co-ordinator will then get in touch with you, and we will go from there.
We need volunteers to help with weeding, watering and planting
We need volunteers to help with stewarding, managing the sound system and/or setting out the event – barriers, gazebos, chairs etc.
We need volunteers to help with general maintenance at Cromellin Wood and Hunts Park
Donaghadee is the fastest growing town in the borough and it is important that we do not lose our strong sense of community. The involvement and participation in organisations is one way of achieving this and information on groups in the town is available in the Community Directory. Another way is by volunteering.
As a volunteer you may get the chance to develop new skills, and put into practice existing skills. There are all sorts of reasons to volunteer, including:
- helping others and your local community
- meeting new people
- taking part in something which is important to you
- making a difference
- doing something you enjoy
- developing your interests
- learning something new
- gaining experience and improving your CV
- boosting your job prospects
