Handy Guide to Floral Displays
Townsfolk and visitors to Donaghadee now have a handy guide setting out details of the various floral displays and environmental projects round the town. The guide, complete with a forward by the Mayor of Ards and North Down, Councillor Karen Douglas, can be obtained free from a range of outlets in the town centre.
The guide has been prepared by the Community Development Association who plan and co-ordinate the various displays. Honorary Secretary of the Association, John Caldwell, hopes that the guide will encourage everyone to take an interest in the town. He said “We have tried to build on the success of last year’s displays when we won the Small Town Category of Ulster in Bloom, sponsored by Translink. We have increased the number of hanging baskets, arranged more displays and expanded on our environmental projects. Hopefully everyone can enjoy and admire the displays”
