- Halloween party
4.1 John Caldwell has been in talks arranging the fireworks. It has been agreed that the harbour will be used on the condition that the spectators are not allowed on the harbour and traffic control is in place for the car park. 16 Marshalls are required to cover this, Johanna Logan to send out comms and John Caldwell to speak to the rotary club. The Lifeboat will require moving before the fireworks. Bunting and decorations to be purchased for the hall. Music and Balloon modelling has been booked. Bill Kirkwood to arrange more children’s entertainment. Awaiting DPS PTA to confirm if they will be serving Tea/Coffee
- Traders Christmas Dinner
5.1 The annual Christmas Dinner for Traders has been arranged for 2nd December at Grace Neills. Menus have been distributed to most traders, approx. 40 traders confirmed.
- Response to consultation on business rates
6.1 John Caldwell delivered a presentation. Opinion was that charity shops that trade shouldn’t get 100% relief. Vacant building to get less relief to encourage them to find tenants. Small business rate relief should be increased
- Shop local Saturday 30th November
7.1 We have three quotes for 1000 jute bags, however, it was felt this would not be enough, therefore quotes for 2000 required. Traders will be able to purchase the bags for £1 each. Terrie to confirm if Shields can assist in the storage of the bags. Looking into street entertainment and other giveaways for the day. Traders are encouraged to create a special offer for the day.

8.1 11 traders have expressed an interest. We are awaiting confirmation of participation by artists
