29th November – Market
A market will open at 4:30pm on the tennis court accessible from the rear of the Market House on New Street. The market will feature a range of foods, gifts and festive items and will continue to 9:00pm.
29th November – Santa Parade
At 6.00pm a fireworks display on the pier will be the signal for Santa to call. He will be brought in by the RNLI on the lifeboat and our thanks to them for providing this much needed transport. After being greeted by the Mayor, Santa will be escorted by the Rotary Club of Donaghadee, the Harbour Star Band and the Una Breslin School of Irish Dancing to his grotto at the Market. Children are invited to join the parade in fancy dress should they wish. A few lanterns will be available or children may bring one of their own (battery operated – no naked flames allowed). Once
settled, Santa will have a small gift for every child who calls. Entertainment will also be provided at the market.
30th November – Shop Local Saturday
Participating shops will have a range of special offers and free gifts for customers. Remember “Keep your town in business; Keep your business in town”
1st December – Community Carol Service
Everyone is invited to come along to First Presbyterian Church for the annual Community Carol Service commencing at 6:30pm. Singing will be led by the choirs of Donaghadee Primary
School and Killard School (the latter subject to availability). The service will be followed by the switching on of the Christmas Tree lights by the Mayor of Ards and North Down, Alderman Bill
Keery and Lady Sylvia Hermon.
5th December at 7pm – Christmas Memorial Service in Shields

8th December – Santa Fun Run
The Santa Dash round the Commons will take place at 1:00pm with registration at Harbour & Co. from 10:30am to 12:30pm. Why not run, walk or jog around the 3k course with your fellow
Santa’s. Cost is £10 per adult, £5 for under 12’s, babies & toddlers are FREE. Santa suits will be provided. For further information please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
8th December – Rotary Club of Donaghadee Carols & Mince Pies The Rotary Club of Donaghadee holds its annual carol service in First Presbyterian Church at 7pm.
Once again they will be accompanied by the world famous Donaghadee Male Voice Choir.
