Probus Clubs are for retired or semi-retired people from all walks of life, including former employees of Government and other organisations, indeed anyone who held a position of responsibility during their professional life. They are non-political, non-sectarian, non-profit and autonomous, with the aim of allowing members to meet others in similar circumstances, make new friends, and maintain and expand their interests. Donaghadee Probus Club provides the opportunity to attend regular meetings with like-minded people who appreciate similar interests and social outlook. It is an organisation for active retirees who enjoy the camaraderie and social benefits the Club brings. The weekly meetings have regular guest speakers, trips are arranged to places of interest, and optional lunches are organised on the last Thursday of each month.
Meetings are from 10.30am to midday. Coffee/tea and biscuits £2.50 per week. Each month we would endeavour to hold a general knowledge quiz, and a guest speaker folio your President’s lunch on the last Thursday.
Meets at Donaghadee Golf Club each week on Thursday at 10.00am
