Donaghadee Community Development Association has been granted funding under the Live Here Love Here environmental initiative to involve the community in the restoration of Crommelin Wood (the Walks) to be enjoyed by all residents of Donaghadee and visitors.

The clean up day is designed to kick start the project by clearing the litter etc. from the forest floor and examining potential pathways for walking, exercise and nature trails. The next stage in the project is the commissioning of a tree survey, bird survey and cataloguing natural inhabitants, scoping entrance points and options for sustaining long term use.

This is a unique and exciting project for Donaghadee and a real opportunity for the community to become involved in restoring and managing a natural facility which has become neglected over the last number of years.
