Find out about Donaghadee Rotary Club:
Thursday 25 October (6.30-8.00pm)
(Venue: Donaghadee Sailing Club, Shore Street)
What does Rotary do?
You are cordially invited to the above event, which is intended to be a fun way of finding out a bit more about what your local Rotary Club does for the community and further afield. A free finger buffet will be supplied along with a drink to welcome you!
In Donaghadee, Rotary has a strong community service commitment as I am sure you have observed through our recent participation in the festival on write ups in The Spectator. We also have a long-standing record for supporting local charities (e.g. the Lighthouse Trust, Donaghadee Lifeboat, Connect Christian Councilling, North Down Samaritans) as well others further afield (e.g. polio eradication). The attached leaflet provides more of a flavour on our activities (you could also visit our web site or Facebook page):
What can Rotary do for me?
However, the key to Donaghadee Rotary success is the strong ethos of fellowship and friendship that gels the Club together. This bond is formed through like-minded people from many different backgrounds coming together on a regular basis. I for one certainly have formed friendships with characters I would never have met in any other way.
What is stopping you coming along?
- No need to grab a bit to eat or get dressed up; just come along anytime from 6.15 onwards (finish will be 8-8.30pm).
- It provides an opportunity to see what Rotary is about; you may be missing out on something that would interest you, especially if you want to try something a little bit different.
- Free food, a free drink and no obligation!
Although not essential, it would be great if you could let us know if you are planning to come along so as to help us plan the catering arrangements.

If you cannot make it on 25 October, you would be welcome to join us any Thursday night in Pier36 (6.15 for 6.30).
